The Pound Campsite

Our campsite is hugely popular with ramblers, canoeists and families exploring the area. The Pound provides a fun and economical base from which to explore this beautiful part of the country.

With easy access to the River Wye, it makes an ideal base for exploring the river by canoe or kayak, indeed, the site is a popular stopping off point for canoeists taking a canoe tour of the area and has it's own launch point which is free to patrons of the campsite and guesthouse.

Why not try Celtic Canoes or Want to Canoe? Their experienced and highly qualified canoeists run guided tours on the River Wye - they can also provide training or canoe hire...

Facilities. The site has a well equipped amenities block that includes power showers, washing facilities and toilets. Breakfast is available (to order) at The Pound if you are too relaxed to prepare your own. Lunches and evening meals are available at the nearby award winning Boat Inn and a small but well-stocked shop is nearby should you need to replenish your supplies.

You can now charge your electric vehicle on site! We have recently installed Instavolt four rapid charging stations.
